does anyone know of a header that is avalible in a 4-2-1 1-peice design with a 2.5" collector?

somthing that is reasonably priced (no JUN thanks) and of pretty good qualitly.....

 

JDM ITR (cut out the stupid reversion chamber), Hytech, SMSP..

 

the JDM ITR is a 4-1 design.......i'm just looking around for a 4-2-1 design if there is such a thing.......

hytech and SMSP are custom headers and i dont think their prices will be reasonable at all............

I think Mugen has the Gymkana header in 2.5", JDM version of course

Spoon, Toda...just a few, but $$$$

That's what I was thinking, but I don't know about you, but those aren't reasonable to the averge Joe.

 

Does DC have a 4-2-1 in 2.5" or only the 4-1? that would be another alternative, but I don't know if such a beast exists

 

Well I know that my Spoon 4-2-1 has a 60mm Collector. thats just a hair shy of the magic 2" for all of us metric impaired.

With the exception of the Comptech piece, everyting listed is at Least 60mm.

PS oh and for the Toda, Spoon, Mugen, and the like, expect to spend from $900. On UP! It ain's cheap but, it's well worth it. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!

I think the CTR header is a 4-2-1 design and has a 2.5 inch collector - and recently someone was selling one in the classifieds..

 

Does the 97 spec JDM OEM header have a 2.5" collector?

I was/am the one selling the header. Its sold... The ctr header is identical to the USDM itr header with the only difference being the 2.5" collector.

 

96-97 JDM ITR is a 4-2-1 design.

 

FIRST POST!!! Ive been around the board for almost a year but have been hesitant to get into it since there have been numerous thefts and robberies at gun point and i know a lot of personal info gets thrown round...............anyway, in response to ur header question, i have a Mugen 4-2-1 header with 2.5" collector, JASMA approved and its amazing.........great mid range and nice through v tec....I also have a carsound cat and an ARC induction box and intake. Im am extremely happy with throttle response and power. I bought it used in perfect condition except one small scratch for 650$ shipped....Ive never seen anyone else with i and hae heard that they stopped making them in 98...peace.

 

the sad part about US canadians is that the current exchange rate is absolutly horrible. purchasing things in the US is absolutly killer. sooooo i'm trying to find the best deal possible.

$650US is over $1000CAD which is wayyyyyy over my budget on a header........

edit: i thought you were trying to sell me that header.........sorry......hehehe.

Apexi GT Spec manafold 98 spec Type-R. 4-2-1 2.5 collector. ITs the same price as the US spec.

 

Where do you go to get this piece? I've never seen or heard of it...but then again I live in anti JDM land.

 

CTR, old JDM B18C Spec R and JDM B18C are 4-2-1 with 2.5" collector. Also Integra XSi's (or whichever have a b16a, but cast iron)
