Default clearence on the jdm dc sports header

how is the ground clearence of the jdm dc sports 4-1 header say compared to stock or what ever, the front lip on my car is about 4 inches of the ground but the stock header looks to have plenty of room , how much lower will it hang compared to the stock header

thanks alot

clearance is not that bad

i thought it would hang really low, but it was at a good height when i got mine installed

I just got done installing my DC JDM 4-1 about 30 minutes ago, I'd say it hangs more than the stock one, as in, you can see it now much easier, but on my car with stock suspension I think I'll be fine. Though, I drive pretty carefully around town anyway...

It has the worst clearance out of any other header. I actually scraped mine, but didn't put any visible dents in it. The speed bumps around my neighborhood I think are nastier than most though.

I can't compare except to stock, but it's not like it hangs down noticeably bad, but if you look at the car from the front, crouching down, you can tell that it is the first thing on your car that is going to colide with the pavement if you bottom out hard. I bought mine used and it already has a bad scrape on it - the previous owner had lowered suspension though... FWIW

It does sit pretty low, but I've had no problems in the year that I've had it....just a few surface scratches - no big deal. And, yes, my car sits pretty fuggin' low (top of tire meets fender on 205/40/17's)

Still not as low as a Mugen or Spoon header though.

I have pics showing what happens when there's not enough clearance. I'll post tonight.

My JDM 4-1 sits (lowest point) about 20 mm (little bit less than 1 inch) below the oil pan...
Some people say the DC JDM hangs a bit lower....

but that's why there's the skidplate for the JDM 4-1.. maybe the DC owners could get something similar or modify the honda one to fit?

yeah the groung clearance factor on this header has completely turned me off buying it, theres just too many speed bumps and my car is lowered.
