(Del Sol)Honda tech support need help! read Tranny Problem
I drive a 93 del sol si
I am starting to have tranny problems
I believe my clutch is slipping.
This is what happens.
-I turn on my car when in neutral
-when I press the clutch in, my flywheel keeps spinning and takes awhile till it stops.
-When I drive, as i let off the cluth it makes a weird grinding type noise.
-When I engage the cluth to shift, flywheel is spinning and not letting me into gear.
-I have to force it into gear (although it dosent grind)
!!!I have to get this fix by next week!!!
IF ANYONE CAN
Send me information on what I need to buy
In Need of DIY instructions
AND if anyone is selling parts I may need for this email me aesthetics916@msn.com
OR pm on here.

First off the flywheel is conneted to the crank shaft which always spins. So what exactly are you saying that is spinning? For the having to slam it into gear, try changing/adding tranny fluid. The grinding noise from the clutch could either be a worn clutch or a throw-out bearing. Here's how you can tell if the clutch is slipping: if your in a gear and the motor starts to spin faster and the speedo isnt moving in sync with it. Was that what you was saying by the flywheel stuff? If so, then you need a new clutch.

I change the tranny fluid last week, still has a problem. and Idk when I press the clutch in, I can hear something sounding like it stops, but takes a few seconds. Than when i release the clutch something comes on again...?
I believe its the clutch b/c thats what my freind said. but I wanted to heat honda-techs opinion aswell to make sureee

Aight, well its not as bad as I thoughtttt.
My gears have been grinding abit for the past week, how bad is this going to affect it after I get a new clutch/presssure plate?
Grindings all in the syncros, unless you have a bad slave cylinders, which could also be your problem. But if you know thats not it, grinding wont affect anything but the shifting/holding of a gear, and the harder you are on teh tranny the worse it will get.
Its either one of two things:
Springs popped out of clutch disc or...
Bad input shaft bearing.
I replace those bearings all the time on hondas trannys they always go bad. Bunch of people will say throwout bearing but thats not the problem trust me.
