I have a 99 honda accord ex with a 4 cylinder non v-tec motor. it's sputtering and acting
like it can't make up it's mind which gear to go in around 50 or 60 mph or 3000 to 4000 rpm. I have personally cleared the code three times and it keeps coming on.I talked to a friend of mine in Mich. who said that it's a ghost code. The only close to it was a catalytic converter.we use synthetic oil and have been for awhile.But I was told that it could be an oil pressure sending unit. Anyone? Any thought's?

 

99 Accord EX model? and you say it has no V-tec solenoid?
Somebody swapped in a motor?
Or some sneaky SumBiotch done stole yer V-tec solenoid offen the back of the head and the pressure switch wire is grounded.
