Need help on ls/vtec build!
ok imma get a gsr head with this mods...
THE HEADS ARE B18C1 WITH TODA CAMSHAFTS SPEC B,SKUNK2 CAM GEARS,SKUNK2 VALVE SPRINGS AND RETAINERS AND GSR MANIFOLD WITH BBK TB JUST GOT SURFACE,PARTLY POLISH
Short block is pretty much stock ls but has usdm b16 pistons
im using a stock b16 head right now
should i get this tuned?? or could i be able to drive around with no problems???

if your going to use "heads" then get it tuned and take alot of pics, ive never seen more than one head go on a inline 4.

FIRST OF ALL!!! I copied and pasted that and i was just showing u what the guy with the head wrote!!! so if u got nothing smart to say about this thread dont ***** my thread! SO GTFO!!!! And i know i should get it tune but will it expletive up my pistons if i drive it like maybe 100 miles??

So your saying its going to completely destroy his car in 100 miles? I dont think so, Like he said earlier he knows (as well a as I) that it will have to be tuned, but imo 100 miles wont hurt it if he doesnt get on it.

You never know. I wouldn't drive a car untuned with those mods.
What ECU does he have?
Has the bottom end been broken-in?
Those are both factors.
The point is, when you put the money into your car and drive it around without a tune, you're just asking for problems.

ok i know it needs a tune peeps.... Just wondering if i can put the head on and then drive it where i need it to go to get a tune??!! Thats what i meant on the 100 miles... And yea the bottem has been broken in.. p28 ecu fyi.
pretty much the question is we live in a Chevy/Ford Town NO ONE TUNES IMPORTS and we have to make it out to Houston or dallas to get a tune, whats the point of taking the car in a tow truck to get tuned and then its drivable back... GAS mileage in a truck sucks expecially with a trailer and another car on it haha
