timing issue
I replaced my distributor after an mpfi swap and noticed when I put it on, the rotor was not pointing at the #1 spark plug. Now it cranks funny when trying to start. Some one said to just put the #1 plug wire wherever the rotor points but i thought id ask you guys befre i did that. what d you think?
yes all my plugs are in the right spots. But it will not start and is cranking funny. should I try to set the motor at tdc for #1 piston and go from there?
You did put in a known good Si/HF (MPFI) distributor, correct?
You did the MPFI wiring conversion/modifications correctly?
You are using the correct ECU?
The distributor only fits one way, I doubt that is the problem.
