Ok, so I bought this EF with a 94 gsr converted odb1. Guy I bought it from saids after he put in the Eldebrock X manifold its been boggin at top end. At first it hit vtec then, while in vtec it bogged in and out of vtec. So basically it was turning on and off at high rpm's. I've changed the vtec selonoid, oil pressure switch, dizzy, and tried other ecu's. After all that it still did it, then it just stopped working at all.?. It's only throwing 1 CEL code wich is, 10 IAT - intake air temperature sensor.


Should I just throw in the stock manifold or change the oil pump?? Please help.

 

Also now it take a little longer to start and hesitates REAL bad while its cold and in low rpm's.

 

Perhaps you should take care of air temp sensor and see if that helps with the bogging.

 

the same thing happend to me and i just found out that i was runing on a blown head gasket maybe thats it , but still im just a noob!!

 

Doesn't bog anymore, It usto bog because vtec was turning on/off. But now since vtec doesn't work at all, it don't bog just takes a long time to get up there.

 

Took about 10 mins to start up this morning....
