Default ZEX nitrous kit on gsr

so i just installed a nitrous kit on my car and its a 50 shot.. do you guys think itll damage my motor with its stock internals...and do i have to retard my timing or just leave it, will it affect my performance.. and one more thing can a VAFC 2 help with getting more fuel instead of adjusting my timging.... thanks...

I haven't installed nitrous on my GSR yet, but from what I've heard it's the best bang for the buck and you can do it with stock internals, so it shouldn't hurt your engine and you shouldn't have to adjust timing as far as I know...

I don't have any experience in the nitrous field, though, so probably shouldn't take my word for it...

Nitrous is not the best bang for your buck as it's a renewable power source... i.e. you have to continually fill up the bottle all the time.

I hope you got a nitrous bottle heater too as keeping nitrous at optimum temperature will help you get the most of out it.

I would recommend two stage colder plugs at the least.

I'm guessing this is a dry kit?
With a 50 shot you should not have to take out timing so you should be good in that area. As long as you keep it at a 50, go any larger of a shot and you will need to take out timing.

A VAFC is helpful to your nitrous system you can add more fuel to go along with that nitrous. You can add some extra fuel when you spray, throughout the duration of the spray and a bit extra at redline, although too much will make ur car run like poo!.

Get some Zex plugs they will do just fine.
Your motor will blow up if you use it ALL THE TIME so be nice to your stock motor!

Is this on a dry or wet kit??

IMHO, i wouldn't run nitrous.. due to the longterm effects on your engine..

But if your going to run it..

I'd run a cooler spark plug, retard the timing just a little and add a little bit of fuel on the VAFC just to be on the safe side..

There's a quote for nitrous

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">nitrous is like a hot chick with an std, no matter how bad u wanna hit it, u kno somethin bad is gonna happen.</TD></TR></TABLE>

i think the stock gs-r internals are 26% stonger than the ls gs rs and i have heard of people running nitrous on those with no probs but i am not 100%sure just dont use it all the time
