Default My rear defroster button pops/sticks out. Any way to fix this?????

Hey,

I'm just wondering if anyone here has had the same problem as me. Basically my defroster button doesn't sit flush with the dash. Usually to turn it on, you push it in and it comes back out to the same level it was before. Mine however sticks out but doesn't have any problems turning it on and off. It sticks out about 1/2 an inch and is kind of annoying. Ive played around with it by pushing it in and out with pressure going up, down, left and right but it doesn't seem to catch on anything. If anyone knows a quick fix to this problem it'd be great

Is there a clip on the switch itself? Either way, how would i take the button off anyways? Just pull it straight off?

check the metal pieces on each side of the button, they may be misssing so it would mean you would need a new switch

Mine does the same thing, it's because im missing one of the clips. I think the first time I took it apart the clip broke off or went flying.

So today i decided to just yank it off and to my surprise one of the clips were missing. Guess its time to look for a junked integra to pull a switch out of.
