and have a lot of parts to mod than h22a. such as itr. ctr parts are compitable with gsr.
grs and other b series engine swaps will be directly drop in in civics.del sol.

What are you talking about, for the price of a gsr swap on HMO you can have an h22 swap.

Not to mention the ITR counterpart is way more expensive than an h22.

The swap itself is cheaper, but theres a bunch of other **** to take into account like mounts, axles, and whatnot to get it into a Civic

But when it comes down to the total cost an H22 is more expensive because of certain fabs that are neccessary, mounts, etc.. But it will be more powerful, the choice is yours.

True, H22 swaps is alot cheaper for PRELUDES and ACCORDS. We are talking about Civics here. If you try to throw a H22 into a Civic you are paying way more then an ITR swap. Quick run down:

H22: 2200
Hasport mount kit EGH2:600
DSS level 0 axles: 300
SS fuel line: 50
Total so far: 3150
GSR swap: 3000

We already passed the GSR mark just with axles and mounts included. If you wanted to go up against the ITR then change the H22 to the Euro R which comes out to 3900 alone. ITR is 4300 for the 96-98 and 4900 for the 01. Still think the H22 is cheaper? This isnt even all the parts you need only the 2 main.

the regular h22a is more powerful than the itr peak number wise. let alone the the euro-r.

and the gsr swap vs the h22a swap isnt even comparable, power wise. but you all should keep buying the expensive b18c for that cool badge on the front of the block.

True, but we were talking cost. Not power. But still theres alot to consider on each motor, gearing, powerband (not peak power), etc. I have seen plenty of stock B18C1 beat H22s in the same type of chassis. Cant just go off peak power.

How bout considering the fact that some people would rather just have something swap in easy rather than go through a headache? Also the H22 trans sucks. Yeah you can always do a H2B, but then theres more money,work, and headache to join the party.

sooooo the m2b4 tranny sucks? you have experience with this or just going by what everyone says on the internet? because they have been used for years, but now that the h2b kit has came along all of a sudden they are ****! (sorry i don't ride bandwagons)

ok so thats pretty sad that you have seen a b18c smoke an h22a, either the h22 didnt have a lsd transmission or the kid straight up sucked at driving.

and the whole power thing, i have been to numerous dyno's of people with intake, (good) header and exhaust knocking on the door of 200hp with a very nice power band. so you try and show me some b18c with i\h\e thats pushing almost 200hp.

and if you look it up with the stock FD, gear ratios, and rev limiter b18c5 vs h22a the h22a actually ends with a lower mph 1-3.

and also the headache to put it in? since you gotta pay to play and you spend the money on the hasports mounts and axels. its a done deal besides what i think 5 wires. but ehh whatever

yea and im taking that was in a prelude?

ok so now that you have went from bigger tires to smaller (civic tires) you have upped your FD, a little bit making the gearing better. and i personally like the feel of a cable shifter over linkage. but thats just me.

I never said "smoke" smoke indicates more then a car or 2 lenght without a chance of catching up. I said beat, meaning the B18C passed the finish line first. Even if it wasnt the LSD version give the B series LSD and you got the same thing, still an equal battle. What next add slicks? I have nothing against the H series but more and more you talk about it the more it sounds like im against them.

Of course a 2.2liter is going to put down more power off the bat then a 1.8liter. Its comparing apples with oranges. When you do a dyno chart like that you have to look at who made more power with the parts added. Which motor responded better to said parts. Again peak hp isnt the main key. If you make 200hp at 8k but make 125hp at 6k does peak hp still show good results? No (just an example)

If you throw an h22 in a civic you come nowhere near the cost of an itr swap. It is about the same price as a gsr swap. PS, I have an h22 civic and id take it anyday over a gsr swap.

People bitch about gearing, but then again the h22 has torque that the others dont.

Edit: also hmo sells the mounts for 450, so once you take off that 150 it is cheaper.

no a b-series without lsd compared to an h22a without lsd is comparing oranges to apples, you need an lsd with an h22a because it makes torque and at low at rpms compared to most b-series.

thats what im saying show me a graph of a b18c with bolt-ons that comes close to 200hp or 190. its not gonna happen the h22a in turn though will with the added displacemnet and they actually respond pretty good to bolt-ons.

EDIT: and we are talking about a h22 they arent peaky like the b-series, they make power and hold it while the b-series tend to just make most of there power at higher rpms.
