Default LS cams vs. B20 cams?

from what i understand Ls cams are a little better than the stock b20.
i have a b20... and some cams from a 90, or 91 DA. i know it cant be much of a difference, but it wont cost me anything but cam seals, a valve cover gasket, and my time. so anyone have any input on this? cam specs?

The obd-2 LS cams are "said" to be a little bigger than the B20's. VERY VERY small difference. Once again it only applys to the newer cams.

Not worth it. Lash to 0.006/0.007 and advance the intake a lil FTMW.

a set of regrinds would be worth your time, messing around with stock cams isnt. however if you insist put in either obd2 LS cams or B20Z cams... b20b cams are the smallest non vtec cams there are

Just knowing one set of cams is "bigger" than the other really doesnt tell you everything you need to know. I dont know if the LSA of all those cams is the same or not. Tighter LSA's usually make more peak power while sacrificing low and mid. Bigger engines can get away with tighter LSA's because they have more cylinder to feed. Maybe the b20 cams have a tighter LSA and thats why they made more peak power on your friends LS despite being "smaller".

maybe its because he didnt say wich b20 cams he was using

b20b cams and b20z cams are totally different. b20b cams have only like 9mm lift... b20z have 10mm

really? cause the difference between GSR cams and type R cams is less than 1 mm, and theres less than 1mm difference from type R cams to skunk2 stage 2

theres also less than 1mm difference between stock LS b18b cams and crower 403's

i think i made my point

OMG ALL YOU PPL ARE ****ING RETARDED

NOT ONE MENTION OF DURATION OR OVERLAP IN THIS ENTIRE THREAD!

-tighter valve lash creates more actual duration which is why it gains power

-advancing the intake cam increases overlap which is why it makes power

1mm of lift separates ITR vs the Sk2 cams? how about duration, overlap, ramp rates....

you ppl fail. ive been looking for cam specs and i get this ****
