Default i have a stock lsv and i wanna make it last?

i put together an ls vtec and ive been gettin all diffrent answers in town from people about making it last? what shud i rev my motor to? and what shud i do about the rods? people say they would worry about the pistons before the rods? my plan was to shot peen the rods use arp rodbolts get some stock gsr pistons to raise compression and put head bolts in it. i wanna put a 50 shot on it so... what shud i do? any ideas will help

No such thing as a stock lsv, otherwise it wouldn't be an lsv.

if you have a gsr pump and arp rod bolts with a tuned ecu, your car should be decent. p30 pistons would be a nice combo. and it's all in the tune tune tune.

if you want to make it last get a GSR bottom end, put it at stock redline, and forget about spray

inherent problems with the LS bottom end are weak rod bolts and a water pump that will cavitate at GSR redline

for reliability upgrade to ARP rodbolts, ARP headstuds, make sure the rods are in good shape, get new pistons, upgrade water pump and oil pump to their VTEC counterparts is a good idea and make sure the oil line is setup so the head is getting enough oil...also TUNE TUNE TUNE
