Default Having issues after changing thermostat

I have a '95 civic with b18b. I just changed the thermostat to a hotter one for emissions reasons. Everything seemed to go fine but today i was driving it and it started to act like it was going to die. I would push the gas and it wouldn't want to go. I don't know if this could have anything to do with the thermostat or if it is just a coinsidence. Since i changed the thermostat i have driven it some with no problems. I searched on here and found some reasons it could be doing this but nothing relating to a thermostat.

I know this is a boring topic but any help would be appreciated

Yea car isn't overheating so what would it be? The other night i let it idle for a couple min. and then drove it around the block and it didn't act up. The way it was acting though i know it is not a one time fluke. What do you think my problem is?
