does any one make or sell replacement turbos for the rsx type s 02 to 04 greddy kit the type is T517Z. a coupling on the intercooler broke and had a major boost leak and after lemping the car home the turbo was blowing oil out the exhaust side. i rebuilt the turbo and put it back on but it seemed to blow a lot of oil but started to slow down but due to needing my car back i had to pull it all off so i could drive my car. does anyone know if the turbo is used a little more the seals will set and wont leak anymore or do i just need to replace the turbo?

 

Are you running stock Greddy oil lines? If so you need to tap the pan and properly run that oil return, otherwise you will just be blowing the seals all over again.

 

If the coupler blew while being on the dyno or a high speed run, he easily could have shifted the shaft to where it could have damaged the seals. I've seen this done before

 

Sounds like an overspooled turbo to me...

 

He said he had it rebuilt since but it was still blowing oil past the seals...
