I want to get a turbo for my gsr it is fully built but I have a friend with a turbonetics t04b turbo he said he will sell to me. Does anyone know any information on the turbo.

 

is it a straight T4, or is it a T3/T4 hybrid?

a T4 is a little on the big side, but it will still be streetable....expect longer spool times though

 

it is a straight t04. I was also told to run 9.8:1comp. to make up for the lag.Is that true?

 

umm thats so u don't blow up using 93 gas. when u are providing boost either by supercharging or turbo, u are effectively increasing the cr which will provide more power. u need more air, better internals, and run higher gas pressures w/ higher octanes because of this. if i am correct lower compression will hurt the spool because ur not burning the gas more completely and therefore less heat and gas pressure, which in turn means slower spool. winded after that one
