Installing a new wheel stud non-sh
I took off the tire, the caliper, the roter, and now there is a plate exposed with the wheel studs on it.
When i hit the studd that I am replacing it gets stuck and wont pop out do to an oversize piece of metal on the back side. Now I believe I am supposed to remove the "the hub with the studs on it" but I just don't see how.
I used the 3 mouth jaw but it just keeps pushing against the axel in the middle and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be pushing aginst that part.
Anyways if anyone has information on this I would greatly appreciate it. And if you need pics let me know I will post them.

you hit it from the front with a hammer to get it out anf then to put the new one in the same way the old one came out then put a bolt on it and use an impact to get te hnew one on snug on teh hub
I remember that when I did my wheel studs (they were broken) so coming out was easy. I believe you have to rotate the hub a certain way. like a certain point has more clearance for the stud to come out. When I put the new stud in I flattened one side of the end of the stud to get it to slide past the knuckle easier. We also used an air hammer to get them in and out easier.
Sorry if this isn't as clear as it should be.

Hmm.... so on base models you can just knock them through ?
I think on my SH i had some issues where there wasnt enough space..... ?

So hawke cut the knuckle and I cut the end of the stud.
I guess those are 2 different ways that work.
Or you can remove the hub. I would rather go with the first ways but its really up to you.

I think The base and the SH have the same clearance issues with putting in new wheel studs.
I just think me and hawk improvised around the problems.

Haha, glad it worked for you. It's actually pretty smooth, all the silver streaks are just where dirt got rubbed off
