This is weird, at operating temperature, when i lay on the gas & red-line my 92 accord, the temp gauge needle just drops to below the C (cold). Heat is still fine, no pockets of air in the system.

Whats going on? my Coolant temp sensor bad?

 

That sensor is butt-cheap, you may as well start with it.
