Ok i have a motes chipped Computer and i did a d15b swap from a d16z6, is there anything i have to do in the computer to allow vtec to hit.

Last night i let it warm up for about 30 mins and went out on the road and punched it and nothing then i came back in and read about a Vtec light, http://home.earthlink.net/~civ....html . anyway so i checked my wiring and nothing.. but i didnt make it a perm install just to check to see if vtec is working. so my questions is

how do i check to see if vtec ever comes on?

Do i need to reprogram my chip? and which bin should i use. (Currently i have a d16z6 chip with higher fuel maps i think)

can i test a vtec with a wire tester?

u don't have to chipped again it should work fine and yes check if the vtec work if not switch it with the other engine!!

 

will that vtec work? eventhough it comes froma d16z6? i thought the jdm one was a 3stage and the USDM one is a 2stage?

 

connect a stray wire from the positive and see if it pop open

thats right
