Default Gear Shifting PROBLEM?

I went to drive my car today to school I let it warm up because it is -25 here where I live. When I went to drive it, it would not go into gears like you have to push with all your strength to go inside a gear it does not matter which one 1,2,3,4,5, or reverse. I let the car warm up more and went to school barely because I had a mid-term and had to make it. When the school was done I had the same problems the pedal was soft really really soft and the car would not go into any gear, but when I turn it off it goes smooth from 1st to 5th and reverse. Did anyone have this problem or knows what the problem is I would appreciate it if anyone would help?

sounds like your clutch slave cylinder seals are probably gone..check around the cylinder for fluid and leaks and check the resovoir it is probably low..

your clutch master cylinder should be located near your brake master cylinder, it looks like a mini master cylinder, you can just use standard dot 3 brake fluid in there
