need help on older 84 civic
i know this isnt the right borad for this year but i cant find anything else, i have an 84 hinda civic that i am turning into a four cylinder bumble bee racecar. It has been sitting for about 2years i got it running but it cuts out at about 4500 rpm and i cant figure out why, i have drained the fuel put new fuel filter in it, changed spark plugs, beet the cat out of it, cut off the muffler, any help would be appreciated thanks.

There are a few things that you may want to check. 1) Did you change both of your fuel filters. 2) Check the Venting hose that goes from your timeing cover to your air box. The filter could be dirty. 3) Check your fuel pump which is attached to your distsributor it could be bad form all the bad fuel and the age of the car.
Have you been haveing any other problems that you may be having with the car? I drive an 84 civic everyday and I am getting ready to rally the car out.
