Default help on a type-r swap.

I just swapped a 97 jdm type-r in my 97hx cope. I have a usdm p73 ecu that I am using in the car. I did the ckf trick bypass and the v-tech oil pressure switch bypass and the 5wire to 4 wire o2.
Now I am geting codes p0130,p0132 and p0450,p0453. I need to know every thing to get my car to run off the ecu and not throw a code and to pas smog obd2 plug it test for PA.

I know that the jdm don't have sensors that the usdm's have so I need to know what one's I am going to need to add to get the codes to go away. I need help asap on any info.

Things I have done to the car to help out.-cold air, headers and walburow255 fuel pump. That's it. Thanks Wolfy

p0130 - generic non honda code for primary O2
p0132 - Primary Heated Oxygen Sensor (Primary HO2S) (Sensor 1) Circuit High Voltage
p0450 - generic non honda code for EVAP system
p0453 - Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) Sensor Circuit High Voltage

to repair or trick the ECU to function correctly...

both O2 - sounds like you have wiring issues with your O2 or it's bad.

EVAP - JDM engines do not have the EVAP system, you'll have to make it work using a different vacuum source into the intake plenum.

FTP - it should work fine with your existing setup in the car. Check that your fuel cap is tight. If the sensor is dead do this...
buy radioshack part #271-1125
connect two of them together at one end, connect that connection to D15. One open end to D10 the other to D11. this shows 2.5V to the input to the ECU, which means no CEL.

I never changed any thing on the rear o2 I just need to do the 5 to 4 wire. could one o2 be bad and put out that code? or both? if the rear o2 went bad would that code come up since I never changed it out or is it just the front?

Do you know how to make the evap system work and what would I need to do it?

Also if the evap system is not there would it throw a code for the FTP? also you say my car should be fine it being a 97hx not a cx or dx that don't have the FTP? Is that right?

get bake to me and let me know thanks for the info Wolfy

just the front (primary)

take the EVAP purge from your stock engine and plug into the plug for it on your new engine. Connect the output of the solinoid to a port in the intake (engine side of the TB) connect the input of the solinoid to the charcoal canister under your fuel filter.

all USDM 96+ civics and tegs have the FTP (OBD2 requirement)

can I T it off any were on the intake? or dos it need to be in a surten spot? and were dos it plug in on a vx wiring all the plugs are used up except the one that ran to the big round thing on the stock intake of the old d15y5 motor by the TB on the one runner.

I am going to look at my o2 and see if I repined it rong or just replace it to see if that dos any thing.

you have a 97 HX with a 97 ITR swap using a VX harness?
Since the HX harness is one peice from the ECU to the engine, and the VX harness is two peices split at the shock towers, what did you use to run from the ECU to shock towers?
or did you mean your HX harness not VX?

you can T off pretty much any of the direct ports into the intake, but I wouldn't use the FPR line.

Ok tell me what you think from my pics that I sent to your e-mail. The b18 has a air temp sensor on the intake manifold and the stock motor from the hx has it in the could air intake. The plug that is running with the injector wires go's to the EVAP system. What do you think? Also can I tap the evap in to the brake booster line? The one pic that I have of the charcoal canister the line is running to the TB. Can I just plug the TB up? And run the line to the evap and in to the intake.

The plug next to the air temp on the could air gos to the big round egr thing what should I do with that? Just leave it unplugged? And one more thing the pic of the hose that I have a screw in it thats on the back of the air intake manifold what should I do with that also? Let me know what you think from the pics.

Thanks Wolfy

I replied to the email that you sent.

no need for the EGR setup anymore.
the rest I detailed in the email.
the main thing you need to find is the EVAP plug.
