Searching would give you more info but.
But think about a 4pt/5pt harness your strapped in an up right position, in roll over at the track your goin to get crushed because your body wont be able to move like a normal 3pt belt.

Alot of people are against it, But i'm sure alot of people use them.
I've read places that say its hard to check your blind spots, or move around in your car to get a drink etc.
I'm sure someone else will come in here with there opinion soon

thank you very much.
yes i was going to bolt them to the rear seatbelt on the floor and make sure the driver seat is positioned up.
i know it can be dangerous if you dont have them at a certain angle

I would not use ever use a harness for street driving without a roll cage or bar, and even then they are really only useful for the track. When you sit in a seat with the harness tightened down, you can't move your body around. Checking your blindspots or reaching for something as simple as the radio/climate control could become a chore. Also, think about if you were to roll, your neck and body would be fixed in an upright position and your head could be crushed by the roof collapsing. If you had a regular seatbelt on it would be much easier to slide your body down and avoid certain death.

i think you posted this in the ITR forum as well. anyway blueR has the harness for you and i did daily drive with a harness before i got a rollbar and i feel really foolish
for doing so but the mounting point on the door side prevented me from running the stock OEM belt.. no that i have a roll bar.. im set.

You should try to keep the length of the belts to a minimum. There have been cases (such Roj Freeth--Possum Bourne's co-driver) where the occupants have been crushed due to the long belt configuration. Stretching is also an issue.
Frankly, unless there is something your stock belts aren't doing for you currently: i.e. you're not competing in a motorsport category that requires them, I wouldn't screw around with harnesses. If this is about bling (and it seems to be, otherwise why would you be asking specifically about Takata), I'd recommend thinking more about safety and less about appearances.
