Default Help with Climate Control light not working?

My Climate Control light is not working i went and bought 2 # 74 lights and i put them in ( even though they were a little to big and i had to force them in) and after putting the new ones they are still not working, what can be the problem maybe a fuse even though i doubt it, can someone help with this problem, i know its not a big deal not having that light but if can fix it i will.

Tell us what car you have. A Chevy Nova perhaps? If that is the case, junk it.

Your dimmer switch might be bad if your cluster lights don't work either

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by BlueIntegraBoy &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Your dimmer switch might be bad if your cluster lights don't work either</TD></TR></TABLE>

Was going to say that as that happened in my 91 hatch, the 88-91 has a two piece control unit, and the 92-up's have a single unit built into the dial.

Does your dash dimmer work? And were the bulbs you replaced bad? Don't replace parts until you know what the problem is, that way you have more information on the problem.

Have you done anything in the dash? (Stereo etc..)

Since I don't have a Helms at work, are 74s the correct bulb for the HVAC? You say they were difficult to get in as if they weren't the right ones or something. Yes, does the rotary dimmer switch work for your cluster lights?
