yes another damn cel 5 code thread -.-"
ok, so ive tried searching. my car threw a cel 5 and i know its for the map sensor. i tried swapping the map sensor with a new one and reseted the ecu. the cel went away for 1.5 days and then randomly came back on. i checked it and once again cel 5. what else could it be? bad ecu? bad wiring? thanks in advance.
edit- forgot to mention its off a stock 95 ex coupe.

The ecu doesn't monitor vaccum line seals.
Sounds like an intermittent problem that is probably wiring related. The best thing you can do is follow a Helms flowchart and test out the system. Being the map has two codes dedicated I would assume one is for the power supply, and one is for the signal output.
Since you replaced it, I'd have to figure the signal output isn't the issue, so the 5v supply may be an issue. This is all shooting in the dark though....just follow the helms flowchart and be done with it.
