i keep throwing this code after less than 5 mins of driving. i changed the MAP sensor and i still get it. i've searched all over honda tech and think i remember something about it could be a vaccum line? is this correct? if so, which line(s) would affect my MAP sensor and throw the code? i'm running a missing link. i switched links with my friend last night.. still threw the code, so that can't be it.
also: after throwing the code last night, i started to drive home. when i pulled into the garage, my car was running SUPER rich and idling very rough at about 400rpm or so. i don't THINK i boosted the whole way home, but it's possible. is this related as well?
maybe i need to check the voltage to the MAP sensor???

any idea why it would throw a code then? it still puts the car into limp mode, right?

I don't think code 13 will put your car in limp mode. The BA sensor is inside the ecu itself. I think it's use to measure atmoshperic pressure. It then use this info so it can compare against the map sensor. Other than that, I have no idea how it works.

hmmmmmm. so it sounds like as long as i don't mind seeing a CEL then i don't need to worry about it too much. maybe buy a new ecu....

The Baro sensor is built into your ECU. The only thing you can do is pull the back up fuse and reset the ECU. If the code goes away, then you simply had an intermittent problem. If not, you might have to replace the ECU. See if you can borrow a friends ECU to see if the light goes away. Most likely it will go away.

yup.. limp mode. what i figured.
well, good news! i checked the ecu since i was having random problems. i traced it to some faulty wiring from the O2 sensor to the ecu. i cleaned it all up and all is well. thanks for the help, everyone. i love my car again!!

baro doesn't go into limp mode. the readings from the baro and altered map cause it to trip. no getting around it with the hack. just live with it and periodically check the codes to make sure you don't have other ones accumulating.
