Default Kill switch

Any one install a kill switch in the 08 civics yet. My friend just bought one and was curious as how to go abouts installing one. Is it just a switch or do you need relays to do it properly. Anyways any help would be appreciated.

you need a switch and some speaker wires. you should use a relay to be extra safe or if your wires are longer then 3-4 feet.
im pretty sure you can do a fuel pump kill but i doono about ignition kill since we already have an immobilizer.

Ok do you know what kind of relay or is it the same set up as the older civics. I saw this thread https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1794938 and wanted to make sure

Why do you need a relay? Keep it simple. A kill switch is simply that. It disables the ignition passively. It can be as simple as wiring the swicht in parallel to the clutch switch (or shifter switch on an auto trans). Or you could get real creative and find other ways.

I was under the impression that our 8th gen's with the immobilizer is pretty good as it is? At least compared to my old 6th gen where. I haven't heard of any being broken into and driven away.

I personally never used a relay before and never had a problem. Since it is not my car I thought I would check. I understand how they work and such. Thanks
