can it be done? can i just put the type s cams in my ep3? do i need any modifications? just plug and play??

 

Modifications and hope that it works correctly. On top of that you run into reliability. You're best bet for being cost effective is buy the k20a2 and call it a day.

 

Here http://www.k20a.org/forum/showthread.php?t=10907 but this is essentially just putting a more aggresive cam on the a3 head. You will still not have vtec on the exhaust side. You are better off buying a more aggressive aftermarket a3 cam or buying the entire a2 head.

 

Ya this will not work you will need the whole head and then there are some more parts you need its a big hassle. Just get the A2 and call it a day
