b16 not running right PLEASE HELP!
lumpy idle as in... very low idle so it sounds like a subaru OR does the idle jump up from 1k to 4k and back down?
Check your new plug wires. make sure you plugged them into your dizzy in the correct order.
Did you do the dizzy/plugs/wires right before you put the engine in the coupe? If so, id look in to those. Double check everything you did.
You could get a fuel pressure gauge that would attach to your banjo bolt on your fuel filter, but it sounds like it might not be a fuel problem if your smelling gas.
Check all of your grounds. A loose ground can cause havoc and cause your engine to not run at all, or run very bad.

yeah on b16 engine.dizzy can only go in one way. on the mpa sensor issue. on my b16a, map sensor is located at firewall. so i just reuse the d series map sensor cause it was also on firewall. make sure your fuel injectors are all working fine. i had same problem before.i checked the timing, dizzy ignition and tps and everything seemed fine.turned out cylinder one fuel injecotr was bad,

what i did is. i let the car run and i pulled the injectors clip off , to hear how it sound. one clip at a time and u put it back on while move to clip2. and until i hear no differences with clip on and without clip on. then i know that injector is bad. i have couple of spare ones. so i just replaced that bad one. but if u want to take injectors out. depressurize the fuel system and disconnect the nagetive battery cable for safety and yes a small tiny amount of fuel will be spilled.
if you need more detail info. pm me

I had a similar problem, check the vac. hose that goes to the fpr on the fuel rail. I also had a bad tps. Since that motor was in a crx is it obd0 or not, and are you throwing codes? The map sensor thing, you can use the one on your t/b i forgot which map connector to use (engine or chassis/firewall harness). I have a 92 dx (92/93's have firewall maps, 94/95 have t/b maps) with a 94 z6 and i use its t/b map.
