I was wondering if anyone can help me figure out what's wrong. My car normally idles at 7-800 rpm, sometimes when the clutch is in coming up to a redlight it'll drop to 4-500rpm and seem like its Gona stall. Also anything under 3k rpm it seems really sluggish. I just did spark plugs and that didn't fix it. And i clened the iacv a couple months back. Hopefully it's something small and dumb .. Btw it's a 00 civic coupe d16y8 5 speed.

Try cleaning the grounds in your engine bay. Seemed to help me when my car would idle close to stalling.

Any CEL's? I have a sim issue, took months for my CEL to come on and it is random misfire's.

I am still trying to figure it out.

Have you changed the cap, rotor and wires yet?

No cels.. I did cap and rotor and wires not even a year ago

This is a tough nut to crack, could be tons of things.

Check your coil and icm, there are tests you can do.

Check the FPR can be tested with a fuel pressure gauge.

And while you're at it, get a timing light and make sure that your timing is in spec.

My buddy checked the timing about a month ago and we said It was good

Still haven't tried the coil or icm. I gota figure out how hard that is to do. But I wanted to bump the thread I case anyone else has had this problem. Also the hesitation always seems like its 3k rpm or lower... Also like a small version of a miss fire
