Was it really necessary to bump a thread that had only been up for 8 minutes? Youve been a member for less than 3 months and you already have 2434 posts, 99% of them are useless bumps and nonsense. Please try and keep this to a minimum.

Put a 4.7 final drive in it with a b16 5th gear. That'll make it shorter gears.

No it won't. Gears will still be the same.

ITR has the best gears already (of OEM).

MFactory 3/4 close gear set and get new stock 5th gear if you only use it for street and drag.

Why would you want a shorter 5th gear? You should be at what, 120 or more by then.

He has a U.S itr tranny. The Jdm ones come with the 4.7 FD. A U.S itr tranny is the same as a B16, but the itr will have stock LSD. Thats the only difference between them.

Same synchros as all B series.

A final drive does not make your gears shorter. It simply gets you through the gears quicker and lowers your top speed for each gear.

I've gone from a 3.722 FD to a 4.714 FD then to 4.250 with a close gear set and the gear set made the best difference by far.
