Need assistance with turning...
90 Civic DX hatch, and need to know what the best route to take would be to make the rear end loose in the turns? Sounds strange, I know! Larger rear sway bar or something else? Thanks
Well, the reason is the car is a dirt track (circle track) car. General suspension, i.e. springs/shocks must remain stock. So as it sits now, the suspension is completely stock. Going into the corner the car just understeers badly and drifts up the banking. Just trying to figure out a way to help get rid of this understeer.
I see what you mean, but I think you'll be at a minor disadvantage with the FWD setup. Now I do know there are successful FWD cars in Rally-Cross, and a quick search in the RR/Auto-X forum should maybe throw something helpful your way.

try this, if you have a front sway bar take that off. if you're allowed to adjust toe, then get as much toe out as possible. do you have any restrictions on tire/wheels? try different tire/wheel sizes. wider in the front and narrow in the rear, or vise versa. also try different air pressure in your tires.
Thanks everyone. The class we are in is a FWD 4 cyl only class, all motor. I believe we can switch sway bars, and there really are no restrictions as far as toe adjustment. Only rule for wheels /tires are that the car must keep same sized rim that came stock, and cant run snow/dirt tires. Other than that, seems like anything goes.
