best cams for turbo

Default best cams for turbo

im building a turbo motor.. i have a 2.0 sleeved bottom end.. and a fully bulit head to go with it..

this question goes out to people with 500hp+ motors what cams are you using?

i heard skunk2 are great but i dont know which ones to get

if you want to be a baller go with pro 1's but you lose alot of drivablity, gsr's and ctr's are a very good all around choice though. both of these cams have made over 600 hp

u can make plenty over 500 with itrs

made over 500 on gsr's in a b16.

with your 2.0 i would think you would need a bigger cam. the pro 1s are awesome, usinn maz/innes cams over 700 1.9 gsr.

it really depends what you are doing with the car. from my experience, the bigger cams usually raise the power band. i like the gsr's for a street car. the itr's make more power, but loose a little mid range.

I agree. What are your goals? Are you willing to give up drivability and idle for a more aggressive cam? Spending goals?

500+hp daily driven.. i was told by joe alaniz (he built my head) to go with ctr cams.. so that what i plan to do..

made 523 on pump gas with itrs and a 2.0l bottom end daily driven

the skunk 2 are more of a top end cam, yes I used them before, sold them and now waiting for some crowers.

I used crowers and my bottom end is sik as hell but I drop off in the top but Im not a drag racer anyway . I would go with the itrs or so if I want to constantly see high rpms.
