Default What is my problem? Y8 IM on A6

I turn it on and the car revs out on its own. It climbs until I turn it off.

Did you torque down your IM properly? If its revving all the way to redline u have a vaccum leak somewhere.

It pours thick white smoke and smells sort of sweet, maybe coolant getting into im stream.

vacuums are easy enough to check, just spray carb cleaner all over see whats up.
id check ur iacv also, the little valve on the back of the im that has two coolant hoses going into it.
and i beleive white smoke is coolant, but i always get em mixed up so id verify this

Dont just torque them randomly.
Torque it to spec with a torque wrench to 17ft-lbs for each bolt in this order.

.....4...2.....3....5....
..6..........1...........7

Or so I thought...... Still does the same thing, I think it just ran out of coolant to burn. I am using y8 gasket. would a6 gasket been a better choice?
