I have a 94 Honda Civic HB that has a blown motor. I went to http://www.raceup.com which is a website that sells engines and also has a shop in miami. I spoke with them and looked on the internet and heres the information i have so far
JDM B16A SiR2 Hydro 170HP
Engine/Trans/ECU/Axles - $2,800.00
LSD add - $400 DOHC VTEC 4 Cylinder 16 Valve
• Hydraulic Transmission
• Redline: 8200 rpm
• Diplacement: 1595cc
• Torque: 116 lb-ft@7300
• Horse Power: 170hp@7800
• Compression Ratio: 10.4:1
• P30 OBD-1 or OBD-2 ECU equipped.
Thats just if i were to order the engine and trans. When i called and spoke to the shop owner i was quoted 3950 for the full swap into my car with AC and everything. My question is thus follows
1. have you or anyone you know done business with raceup.com and Ricky's Auto exchange in miami,fl ??? How was there experience?
2. $3950 full swap with AC ..... Hows the price for what im getting ?
3. Feel free to comment on anything in regards to places you know in the south florida area that i should check out thanks in advance

^^ Yes thats exactly what it means. Im sick of doing **** myself and having it blow up and go terribly wrong im getting it done with paperwork and such to ease my mind. Plus i dont have the tools and the knowledge to do the swap myself.
ok then, that is a decent price. just make sure it's a good mechanic. one guy told me the reason my celica wasn't running properly was because my cat was mesed up, i said are you sure about that, then i informed him i hadn't had a cat for a year and i'll never take my car there again.

Exactly! 2800 before shipping and without the LSD is just rediculous for a b16. No way is that a good deal what so ever
+1 for HMO

That's very much on the high side. We charge 850 labor for a standard (read non AWD) engine/tranny swap.
Normally an engine can be had from a reputable company for around what was already quoted at 2200 bucks. That would bring your grand total to 3050 and our labor rates are pretty much industry standard. You are on the high side where you are looking right there.
