hey whats up honda tech i have a question, my car idle fluctuates could my bad tps cause this, my motor is a 96 jdm gsr so it doesnt have the fitv and if it does i cant find it. i checked under the tb but its not there. my car is throwing the code 7. tps is on the way. but i would just like to know if that could cause fluctuating idle thanks

 

hmm, i thought integras stopped the FITV in 00 but could be wrong... IACV could also be ur issue.... is it like this when the car is warmed up too..??

 

that could be caused by the TPS, you can check it to make sure it has .5V at idle (throttle closed) and 4.5V at wide open throttle

 

only when its operating temp, i also noticed that when i play around with the tps the idle surges and comes back to reg idle. and another thing that i noticed was that on the throttle body it has only one hole instead of two. unlike in the diy in how to clean your fitv and iac the tb has two holes. is that hole suppose to suck after the engine is at opperating temp? i believe that single hole leads to the iac but i could be wrong. but like i said i ordered the tps sensor and once i switch that out ill let you know the results. hopefully she will be all better after that. ps. its 96 jdm so could that be the reason for no fitv?

 

i got my tps and installed it. now i have code 10 and 20, oh and i already ajusted my tps any suggestions?

 

problem solved it turned to be the iat plug, i guess when my shop light fell on the motor the plug cracked and one of the wires were lose causing the cell code thanks for the help guys
