hello, i've noticed something about my ej8, engine is d16y8 with aem sri, everything else is stock. I noticed that sometimes when i press on the gas from 1st to 3rd gear, it pulls stronger than what it should before, i can definitely feel the difference, and sometimes it pulls slow when press on the gas with same pressure, what could go wrong? thanks.

well, I've changed the spark plugs to oem ngks, but not the spark plug wires. anyway, but sometimes the engine pulls way harder, and other times is slower, is a difference i can actually feel, you really think is the ignition problem?

 

Could be a lazy/faulty O2 sensor. CEL? A bad O2 sensor can make the motor accelerate funny, fine one minute then all of a sudden it feels slugish.

i figured it out is in the exhaust manifold, thanks. but my problem is still not solved.

 

Really, the 02 sensor thing is just an idea. You have no CEL (hopefully the light works) so buying and installing a new one would be "throwing parts at the problem". From my experience, an O2 sensor sending an intermittent signal will not always set off a CEL, but eventually it should if that is truly the problem.
