Hey guys is it possible to snap the timing belt through aggressive driving? i.e. downshifting...
I was on the freeway accellerating pretty fast. I tried to throw it in 5th, but my hand slipped and I somehow managed to get it in either 1st or 3rd gear.
Afterwhich I hear a bunch of crazy noise, like an idiot I keep trying to gas a bit. I pull over to the side of the road and my car wont start or anything.
So yeah, i'm like freakin out. Can anyone tell me whats possibly wrong?

the car doesn't crank.
damn... so time for a new motor?? No i did not crash it. this is not a "race" incident. The car is all stock daily commuter and it happened on the freeway. Freak accident. damn this sucks ***...

how long was it in the gear. i did that once or twice. not gettin on it though. just normal driving. i stopped the clutch back down and it was fine.

You most likely overreved your car substantially. However, most hondas, especially civics, won't let you put it into 1st at highway speeds accidently, you'd have to force it in. You could have put it in 3rd though. My ek hatch's 3rd gear went over 100mph, so there is a decent chance you didn't overrev unless you really did get it in to 1st which, to be honest, is a little nuts.
However, if you just popped your clutch and didn't match the revs, the huge jerk in your drivetrain by automatically adjusting the revs could have just knocked some wiring loose. Check to see the timing belt is intact and hasn't skipped any teeth. After that, get it to start so you can do a compression/leak down test. At that point you'll know what's damaged and to what extent, doing anything else is just guessing, including replacing the motor without figuring out for sure if that's the problem. Look here for details on what happens when you overrev so you know what to look for civic mis-shift and listen for.

im really hard tp put it on 1st gear and higher speed.
you have to put some muscel in

Do a visual check, take off the side covers where the cam gears are at and look if the belt is snap if its not then it might be something dealing with your internals.
The easiest way to see if you have a snapped timing belt is to take off your oil filler cap and have somebody try to crank it up...look inside the filler hole, if the cams are turning then you have to assume the belt's still intact.
If the cams turn, then take your timing belt covers off and make sure it's in time.
If everything lines up straight, then I'd assume internal failure.

If the car doesn't crank you first must look at your electirc and ignition system. Just becasue you blow your motor won't mean the car won't turn over. Use common sense. When you turn the key, an electrical signal is transfered for the car to crank. Check that first then assume you blew your motor, which I highly doubt. Shifting into 3rd at highway speeds is rough on the engine and transmission, but not fatal at all. Just look at your car manual, it will tell you 3rd can handle up to like 80mph and fourth can handle as fast as your car can go! I highly doubt your motor is blown.
