I bought this car in november not expecting anything to be wrong with it because I don't want to spend more money to fix it. When the engine is warm, every once in a while the temp idles up and down between 0800-1000 only for a few second. Today I was going to work and the idle would stay between 1000 to 1500 only for few seconds. Then the BAD CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, i learned that it is the thing behind and on top of the intake manifold. Do I have to buy a new one or should i check other things prior. I just want my engine to stay at 0800 rpm and be normal... What precautions can iI do to insure this wil happen. check to make sure you got coolant in it. it could be you idle air control. might need to replace it or you might have a vacuum leak. check out to see wat the check engine light code was. that should help a little.
