i recently purchased a b18b1 swap for my eg, it was obd2, so i swapped everything over to obd1 and dropped it in, but right from the start i was getting TONS of white smoke and it was constantly idling at 2000rpms and when you gave it any gas at all it would go up for a second, then drop all the way down to 500rpms before working its way back up to 2000. i thought it was a vaccum hose prob since i ran into a similar problem before with my b18a1 crx, but its not. i have no clue whats up and need help.

Have you looked at the idle adj screw? Im guessing on the idle part, the fitv b/c it will usually surge with the iacv. As for the white smoke, could possibly be the headgasket.

 

Makes me want to think you have a vaccuum line and a coolant line swapped...

 

I really dont think about people doing that a lot ,lol. But hey, "it could happen". Makes sense though
