Default honda civic hatch problems..help??

hi...i gotta 92 hatch...that gotta d16z6 motor
for some reason my car idles between 1500-2000rpm...when cold when hot it idles at 1200-1300rpms. ...plus the car is always running rich....i cant seem to find the problem wrong with it can anyone help me out....i turned the thing by the throttle body or whatever all the down to and it stills idles high...
i thought it would be my ecu becauuse it was chipped but i swapped it with my brothers stock hatch ( but is not vtec) and it still idles high so i really dont know help me out!!

Tried searching yet?? search "idle" in the top right side of your screen

possibly a iacv??

thats what i thoguht it was too but that part is 200 dollars..at autozone..

u can try to clean it by using brake cleaner. check all the vacume leak. u are running p28 ecu ,right ? and any other mods on the engine ?

yes p28 chipped ecu, phantom grip lsd, msd..
also my dizzy was advanced i retard it back to the middle but the idle is still high

Also might want to think of getting it tuned if its running rich.

A vacuum leak would cause a lean condition, not a rich condition, so deffinetely try cleaning the IACV out real good.

you can allways lower your idle with your throttle cable adjustment.. chances are if you bought the car that way its probly due too the last owner..

I had the same issue with my Z6 swap in a VX hatch on a P06 chipped/slotted/converted ecu. Clean the hell out of the IACV and stuff, changed the TB & IM gasket too...but nothing. TB screw was at its lowest setting as well. I said screw it! and had lived with it for a year until I got a more reliable Civic for a DD.
