so we had alittle honda swap meet thing going on and I swapped valve covers with this kid.. When i pulled the plug wires out there was gobs of oil in the plug wells.. What would cause this?

 

rubber o rings. they usually come with the valve cover gasket.

 

what he said up above sounds correct to me. if you get the gasket at the dealer each o-ring is sold seperate outside of the actual cover gasket which is just stupid but hey i dont make the rules. no worries itll only cost you 10-15 bucks plus 15minutes

definatly from the o rings that seal around the spark plug area . . . . or a untightened valve cover . . .
