electrical probs.
my car is a salvage/ rebuilt title.. when i was getting this horn installed the guy told me that its the worse wiring he's ever seen and that there was live wire hanging within the steering wheel..he suggested i take it to a electrical technician. to get my wires sorted out but i need a cheap but good way to solve the problem..im taking my car to tha shop because i have a warranty on the engine swap still.. "mini-me" and see if they can fix the problem with the wires even though i thnk it shoulda been taken care of. and since i dont kno anythin bout electrical my question is what should i do about the wiring harness? and is there a way to fix my IACV?..
thnx 4 tha help..
thnx 4 tha help..
As for the IACV, look it up, I've answered this 2-3 times in the last few days. As for the wiring, you may want to get some harnesses from Honda and put them in yourself. It's all plug and play. I did an auto to manual swap on my wife's 2001 Civic and simply swapped harnesses and an ecu.
Oh, by the way...I'm in the body business (body shop manager).....salvage/rebuilt....I hope you're never in a real crash. Unless you know what you're looking for the car shouldn't have been repaired according to law and now it's stamped as salvage/rebuilt. Perhaps it was just a flood car, but you may want to spend $50 and have a body shop look at things. If you can, just give one of the techs at the shop $50 and skip past the office, your money may go a lot further.
