Default Speaker install BMW technology applied to anyone installing...

ALL YEARS CRX THIS APPLIES TO. I have seen this on airplanes(ex aerospace mechanic), my 325i BMW speaker wires, as well as computers yet everyone I talk to has never heard of this and finds it to SIMPLISTIC so they think it doesn't work. Alot of people go out and buy ground loop isolators but this method should do away with any spending of $$$$$. Here's what to do:

1.) Twisted Pair configuration: Take your speaker wire(rockford fosgate as well as others do this and have been doing this for awhile) and take the positive and negative wire going to one of your speakers and twist them the entire length from stereo/amp to actual speaker, entire length. do this for all 2spkrs, 4spkrs, or 6spkrs whatever your set up is. This offers greater noise rejection by utilizing 3 to 4 turns per inch and alternating the positive and negative conductors effectively canceling noise. My 944 had this as well if I recall right and THIS WAS FROM FACTORY OEM. This can also apply to a clean signal to electrical components as well meaning its not just a technique used in speakers, and its not to make the wires look pretty either as most people are lead to believe, twisting wires in a computer such as your tower computers is there for a reason sometimes they will use a magnet with the wire looped once or twice around it before it continues on, most of your USB etc...... cables will have a little black cylinder close to one of the ends of your cell phone charger or usb or computer cable and most people never knew what this was but hopefully now you do, its another way of canceling out induced EMF but without twisting the wires Hope this helped someone and correct me with any errors I made as I did leave the technical stuff out so as everyone can understand this easier.

Sorry about that. I tried to delete it and post it in the correct area but it won't let me delete this post. I'll make sure to have stuff like this in audio from now on, I didn't see it but will look harder.

A local audio shop I used to hang out at did this, they had an attatchment on their electric drill so they could attatch the wires to the drill bit then spin the drill slowly to make the wires twist up. Always thought it was just proper technique
