Okay, I got my Type-One catback today and for some reason R&D did not send me the gasket that links from the b-pipe to the rear section. I tried to fit the gasket from my old exhaust onto it but it won't work because of that damn bottleneck. I need some way to make the diameter of the hole in the gasket bigger by about 4mm. I tried sandpaper on the gasket and it isn't going to well. Anyone have any suggestions, or anyone know if I was supposed to get a gasket or not? I'm pretty pissed off because the resonator and piping were dented as well. I was disappointed, not in the exhaust, but in the shipping of it and the missing gasket. It looks good, but I want to drive the R around but I can't cuz of the gasket. Any help is greatly appreciated.
First of all, I'd recommend having a
and relaxing. Don't rush it, or you'll end up screwing something up. My advise would be to just not worry about it now, and then call up R&D tomorow and ask them.
If you must put it now now, try getting a curved rasp, and go to work on the gasket. Sand paper would take a year and a day.
Just don't jack up your exhaust cause you're in a hurry...

I didn't get a gasket either when I had my Type1 so don't be disappointed. I don't think it's suppose to come with one. I bought a stock gasket from the local Acura/Honda dealership. Like SMSP said, the stock gasket you have on your stock exhaust should fit.
As for the dents, maybe the shipping company had something to do with that. Bubble wrap and newspaper can only do so much.
