tranny swap trouble... need help quick.
so boost killed my z6 tranny that i had mounted to the d15b... i got ahold of a y8 trans that had been checked out by a transmision shop and is said to be in great condition...
swaped the y8 trans in and now when i started the car it made a weird noise. it is very hard to put into gear even when the car is off. also when the car is off and i put it in gear it still rolls like it is in neutral. when i start the car and start to let the clutch out the vss starts going up but the car doesnt go anywhere and it makes another weirdnoise. i push the clutch back in and the vss still stays where it is and the noise continues until i turn the ignition off. help!!!! need it fixed soon its my daily.

The reason it could be hard to put into gear is, does it have enough fluid (motor oil) in the tranny? The reason the vss is moving is because the tranny is, however if your exles are not installed/seated correctly the tranny power/movement will not make to the wheels.

axles are seated and they spin the rotors with the car jacked up in gear. it just makes this weird chatter noise like the cluth disc is floppin around in there.
