Hello all, I want to change the transmission fluid on my car. What tranny fluid should I put on my 1995 Sol VTEC DOHC 5-speed manual that is recommended by honda? and where can I buy it?

Also is there anything I should watch out for, I read the manual as to do how do it and I have gotten down there to check the level one time, and I think I shouldnt have much of a problem. Thanks in advance

 

call honda dealer and asked perhap......I'm pretty sure they got it......

 

ive always run gm sycromesh in my trans. honda calls for 5w30 engine oil i believe, i dont remember if thats the right weight but it calls for just motor oil.

you may find alot of insight in this post https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=999135.. alot of people recommend just using honda mtf from the stealership, and some recommend running a different weight engine oil...

 

usually 5w30 oil is recommended for d series trans. per the owners manual, honda mtf is recommended for b series per the owners manual. most that own a b series will recommend gm or penzoil syncromesh. friction modified if you can find it, but regular works good too.
