manual tranny fluid
is there a differene between manual and atumatic transmission fluid? i looked up the part on honda parts online andthe guy told me to put 10w-30 motor oil in the trans. this doesnt seem right., oh..its a 93 del sol Si.

Taken straight from my Honda Civic manual (the one that comes with the car)...
"If Honda MTF is not available, you may use an API service SG, SH, or SJ grade motor oil with a viscosity of SAE 10W-30 or 10W-40 as a temporary replacement. However, motor oil does not contain the proper additives and continued use can cause stiffer shifting. Replace as soon as convenient."
So, why take the risk to save $2???? I just bought 3 quarts of Honda MTF at the dealer for $10...
