honestly, they are both good. you are right, they both have pros and cons. due to this fact you cannot use this to base your decision on which to go with. it's up to you. here's a simple question, do you mind driving around illegally? i live in California where everything is very strict, so turbo is a bit on the risky side.

if you have a budget, maybe building a turbo is the best choice for you. are you planning to fully build the motor or just put on a turbo running stock internals? there is a lot of questions you need to answer and then choosing one will be a lot easier. good luck.

i've played with both. for me to choose which is better i need to know which motor we talking about. like for example i prefer a boosted D series because it's cheaper and well its the best bang for the buck. i've seen some people go NA with D series and i have no problem with that, it's just in my situation i rather save the cash for similar result.

but say a b18c gsr motor, it's a good idea to go with NA because the motor is already high compression.

turbo, you might experience turbo lag. but when it reaches full boost, it pulls very nice.
NA, nice power throughout the whole rpm band.

if you race the two on a straight away, turbo might be the better choice, whereas if you are on a track, NA might have the advantage if you don't experience any turbo lag.

If you can afford to go turbo the right way with the right parts it will be way more fun to drive in my opinion.

ok well i dont really have money for a correct turbo setup jst yet, but i know if i do it, i need to do it right, so if i boost it, then ima need to have a lot for a good setup. i have the b16, and i know that it is high compression along witth the b18. but yea, i knw boost is fun. but lets say, i do build it for N/A, and i dont like it, all i have to do is change the compression to low compression and boost it from that. like the same aftermarket parts accept change the pistons and rods to low compression and it will become a turbo setup?

A turbo is good top end power, and alot of it, but slow until then, and has lag....... NA is good for track, not as much overall hp but no lag and good through the entire RPM band but very costly....... ur choice, i love NA but its costly, i love track, turbo has lag... not good for track, so i would go for a supercharger, good torque curve like NA, cheaper, no lag and more power for the same buck as NA..... not as much overall hp as a tubo, but no lag, or waiting until high RPMs are reached. Still good for track , ahhh....... also i would go for the Ogura brand, its the same brand as the Mugen Civic Dominator has in it...it has 300hp k20. Ogura is electric superchargers, suprised? ....... Me too, but they are cool, and work well as seen in the dominator....... i will send u the links if ur interested. Oh yeah, wats the use in having alot of power if u only spin tires, thats not doing u much good, and also, the eminse rise in torque from low to high RPMs with a turbo, that jolt of power, is wat breaks stuff. Thanks for askin my opinion

heres the links

if you took five minutes to search around the site a little,
your prayers would be answered.

thanks. im not much for the supercharger setup. but thanks for the link. ima loook at it. well i did ask for the opinions from ppl who have at least done both setups or know a lot about both..so if i went to the forced intuction thread , or the all motor thread, i wouldnt have found it different opinions on both...so once again, if you dont like my question, dont answer it and dont reply to my thread.
