please help
hello all, i own a 88 crx with a y7. other day i was changing spark plugs and i accidently crack the plug in one cylinder. i took the head off and this is how it looks like after we tried to unscrew it. any help on how to get it out would be nice. theres a performance shop that does this here but they will charge me alot

You best bet would be to drill it out. Get a bit just about the inside diameter of the plug, drill it from the vavles out, just like in the pic. Push real hard and it should screw its self out. Also spark plugs only need to be a little more than snug tight.
screw it.
seriously.
Ideally get a reverse bit drill bit that comes in an extractor set and do it to it.
OR, maybe get your drill and small drill bit and drill out the middle. then step up to a larger drill bit. Eventually you ought to be able to free it out.
I'm just throwing out ideas. If you drill, please be careful not to drill into the head, or threads of the plug hole. it would be a pain in the ***.

i will take pictures right after i come back from napa with the reverse drill bit

Is the chamber cracked in the first pic? If so, you might need a new head.
My personal experience with extractors is unless the conditions are perfect for you to get the hole and bit perefectly straight, it will break off in there, leaving a very hard core embedded in your stuck plug.
Two other ways to extract it:
1. use a fine-tip dremel or a very small cutoff wheel to make a flathead slot in the plug.. just be careful not to slot the chamber too, I dont think JB weld patches will hold up inside there.
or
2. make two small holes across from each other on the broken plug, then insert a needle-nose plyer tip into each hole and unscrew it. Be sure to use a punch to make precise guide holes before drilling, so you dont accidentally drill into the threads on the head.
Whatever you do, be patient and let us know what happens. Good luck!
