comp test and leakdowntest results
hey wats goin on. ok heres the deal i had my motor done a year ago its a b16 head with omni power valves and valvetrain with ctr cams and a skunk2 intake mani. the block is a b17 bored .25 over with je 11.5-1 cr pistons bolcke deacked and balanced. ive basically been havn problems from day i got it running. but i finally got around to do a compression test and leak down test this is the results wat your opinions? also the headgasket is leaking lol.
comp test #1 cyl-170 #2 cyl-190 #3 cyl-200 #4 cyl-190 also wehn i pulled the spark plugs they were black with alot of carbon and alot of oil but #3 cyl had the most oil on it
leak down test at 90psi (left gauge)
cyl#1 air leaking from the oil cap and #3 cyl left gauge 81 right gauge 10
cyl#2 air leaking out of #1cyl left gauge 65 right gauge 10
cyl#3air leaking from oil cap left gauge 84 right gauge 80
cyl#4air leaking from oil cap and #2cyl left gauge 75 right gauge 70

If number 3 has the most oil on it check the PCV valve. This may have nothing to do with your compression results, but you may be dumping oil into the intake and then burning it off causing some of your issues. A $2 part can save you a bunch of hassle. Are you leaking oil onto the spark plug from the o-ring gaskets that seal the valve cover to the head? If you have excessive carbon on your plugs it could be due to the oil you are burning. If you get a bunch of build of on your valves from the oil burn your valves won't seal causing compression issues, leak down issues, etc. If the parts I've mentioned are in good shape, then you've got some issues. If you haven't checked/replaced these small dollar items, start with the small stuff. Good luck.
yea all the seals are brand new oem honda and the motor only has a thousand miles on it and the first 500 never went pat 4 grand
.25 over is somewhat of an odd number to me, i mostly see hear like .10 and .20. Did you get these rings for a .25 bore or get it for a .30 and gap them down and when you installed them do you position them right as in clock wise or degree wise?
.25 over je pistons with je proseal rings file fit. the machine shop did everything from the oil pan to valve cover tbelt and everything

nope not at all i called them after 500 miles cuz the crank pulley fell off and the idiot told me i should have checked it and torqued it down my self.
they told me they wont do anything because it was for performance and all that b/s so they screwed me out of 1200 bills plus prolly ima have to get new rings

They are a horrible shop then, i bet the rings arent installed right, and the gaps are probably not correct. I dont know if theres a way to get your money back but, the probably to me seems to be the rings.
damn bro...sry to hear your still havin problems with the motor...i say you jus pull it, send it to chepi, and drop it in the four door and call it a day...and "then put a hit out on "The Machine Shop
